Fermanagh family's delight as missing daughter is found alive

A Fermanagh family have spoken of their delight and relief daughter was found alive and well in Spain after being missing for over a year.

Nollaig O’Connor, 37, who is described as a "vulnerable adult", hadn't been in contact relatives since last May.

Nollaig, a talented musician, was found in Spain yesterday after she was spotted on thew street by Enniskillen businessman Nicky Cassidy.

She had been living in Aberdeen before she went missing, but was last seen on CCTV in Cornwall. 

On a Facebook page set up to help find Nollaig, relatives spoke of their joy.

One posted: "“We can’t say too much on here at the min but this is a 100% confirmed sighting of her in mainland Europe – she is alive!! As stated more will follow shortly on the situation – we are so soooooo indebted to everyone!” 

Nollaig's sister, Aine O'Conner, wrote: "“Thank you all so much! Can’t can’t you how delighted I am. think still in shock and haven’t stopped crying.”

Her other sister, Maire O'Connor, wrote on her personal Facebook page: “Nollaig O Connor has been found safe and well I would like to thank you all for your support of the last number of months and for all the shares and patience you have all had in reposting this for us.”
