Joy King takeaway on the Oldpark Road where Harry McMahon was shot
The shooting of a 52-year-old man in the head in a North Belfast takeaway on Friday night may have been linked to dissident republicans.
Police are treating the attack in the Joy King restaurant on the Oldpark Road as attempted murder.
Harry McMahon was waiting in the Chinese takeaway when a man approached and shot him in the head.

DCI Alan Dickson said: "We believe this man drove to the fast food outlet in his van and parked outside. He was shot once in the head whilst inside the premises.
"From the information we have established so far we understand that one man was involved. He made off in a blue coloured Vauxhall Astra estate car, vehicle registration number ANZ 5590, which was later found on fire in Torrens Gardens a few minutes later."
He added: "We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the Oldpark Road area around 5.35pm and who may have witnessed the shooting or any suspicious activity prior to it.
"We are also keen to hear from anyone who may been in the area of Torrens Gardens when the vehicle was set alight.
"I would urge members of the public to contact CID at Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, anyone wishing to pass information anonymously can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
