This morning’s Ardoyne parade has passed off peacefully with the annual Twelfth parades underway across Northern Ireland.
Large crowds turned out as the Ligoniel band passed the controversial Ardoyne shops area and the Twaddell Avenue protest camp early today.
Around 50 bands will protest later today at the Parades Commission’s determination to ban the return leg of the Orange march past Ardoyne.
The PSNI have stated that they are optimistic that today’s celebrations will pass off without trouble.
Bands will protest at police lines on the Woodvale Road later on their return route.
A statement will be made before parades disperse.
