Drug dealer Johnathan Bonnes
Loyalist tensions in south east Antrim have intensified after a top drug dealer – with UVF links – disappeared from Ballymena.
Fears were mounting last night for Johnathan Bonnes who hasn’t been seen for 11 days – sparking a nationwide hunt from police and the UVF.
The 32-year-old, who’s originally from Cullybackey, was last seen in Portrush at the start of the month, where his car was found in a hotel car park but his family suspect he may have been harmed by a rival loyalist gang.
Yesterday a detailed search of the area around the Royal Court Hotel took place with the aid of the PSNI search helicopter and the bann Search and Rescue team.
And the PSNI has been on red alert amid fears that rival UVF and UDA factions are on the brink of a fresh feud.
