Police officers injured in stolen car collision

Police officers have been injured after a collision with a stolen car in West Belfast.

The car was reported stolen on Clifton Street on Monday afternoon, 

Police from the PSNI's Auto Crime Unit spotted the car in West Belfast and followed the vehicle.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "The car reversed into the police vehicle in the Iris Street area, causing damage to the car and injury to two officers.

"The stolen car then came to a stop in the Gortfin Street area."

The injuries to the police officers are not life-threatening.

A 29-year-old, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old have been arrested.

It is thought that the car may have been involved in thefts in the Rosemary Street and Boucher Crescent areas.
