Drunk Ulster man spends £7,500 at strip joint - wants his money back

An Ulster man is demanding that a Bournemouth Spearmint Rhino club reimburse him after he says they "grossly exploited" him when he was drunk.

The man, who has not been named, says he maxed out three credit cards on 'Rhino chips', which can be used to buy lap dances in the club.

It wasn't until he woke up the next day that he emptied £7,500 worth of credit card receipts from 13 separate transactions at the Spearmint Rhino club.

The man says he has spent the last year trying to get his money back from the club, who are refusing to budge on the matter.

He has even written to Bournemouth council, who are investing the matter after the man claimed they breached certain regulations, including their 'no touching' policy.

In the letter he penned to Bournemouth council, the man said: "I fully acknowledge that I was foolish to enter the club drunk and in possession of several credit cards.

"But I have been in similar situations before and never experienced anything remotely approaching this or involving such a life changing sum of money.

"Someone being foolish does not excuse in any way the actions of the club and its employees and the way they grossly exploited a person in a vulnerable position."
