Two more OTR letters were sent by mistake it was revealed today.
In a review undertaken into the controversial issue of letters sent to republicans 'on the run', which were sent to assure them they were not actively being sought by British authorities, it has been revealed that two more letters were sent erroneously - as well as the one sent to John Downey.
After David Cameron ordered the review, Lady Justice Hallett's found "significant systemic failures" in her report.
The OTR scheme hit the headlines after the trial collapsed of John Downey, who was suspected of the 1981 Hyde Park bombing, when it was revealed that he had received one of the letters.
It later turned out that he had been sent the letter by accident.
