Terry Fairfield after Haddock tried to slash his throat

Mark Haddock has been sentenced to 12 years for an attack on Terry Fairfield in January.
In January of this year, Haddock attacked Terry Fairfield outside a pub in Newport Pagnell, England.
At the time, Fairfield spoke to the Sunday World about the attack, stating that Haddock had screamed "I'm going to kill you" while slashing his threat.
Fairfield was lucky to get away 27 external stitches and three internal ones in the attack which left him reeling on the ground.
57-year-old Fairfield, from the Tynedale Estate in North Belfast, helped Haddock set up a new life for himself in England.
He told the Sunday World: “I’m now ashamed that I agreed to Haddock coming over here.
“I was approached by someone close to him, who feared he was going to be the subject of another assassination attempt back home, I tried to help save his life.
“Instead, he ended up trying to take mine….”
