Man arrested in connection with Tommy Crossan murder

A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of republican Tommy Crossan.

The man was arrested in west Belfast on Friday.

He has been taken to Antrim serious crime suite for questioning by detectives. 

Crossan was shot dead at his family business on the Springfield Road in Belfast on Friday, April 18.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 43-year-old was a senior figure in the Continuity IRA.

The PSNI have asked anyone with information on the murder to come forward.

They also appealed for anyone with information on a red BMW, licence plate number OEZ 9177, which was found burned out after the murder, to contact the police.
